A Skincare Routine Short Enough for Travel
Cabin air is dry, schedules slip, and a long routine is the first thing you drop.

Airplane cabins run at low humidity. Transepidermal water loss goes up, lips crack, and a cream that felt heavy at home suddenly seems necessary. People respond by buying a kit in the terminal and using all of it once. That is not a protocol. A protocol is the smallest set of steps you will still do when the gate changes.
Pack less, and pack what protects the barrier. A balm cleanser that also removes makeup. A moisturizer you already know. Sunscreen for the morning you land somewhere sunny. A hydrating serum if your skin gets tight in flight. Five minutes is enough if the order does not change. Drink water. Alcohol and a new exfoliating toner on the same night is how a “glow trip” becomes a flare. Eating heavily on the plane is optional. Sleep is not, and a cream will not replace it.
When you land, walk outside before you negotiate with your face. Movement and daylight do more for a time-zone shift than another layer of oil. If you can book a facial, do it before you leave, not as damage control on the first morning in a new city. Skin travels well when the routine is stubborn and the suitcase is not.
