The Order That Survives a Flight

The skin routine that survives a flight is the one that does not need a counter.

Travel skin is ordinary skin in worse air. Cabins are dry, sleep is short, and the instinct is to buy a kit you will use once. Resist it. Pack the order you already trust, in the smallest bottles that still last the trip. A balm cleanser, one serum, one cream, sunscreen. If there is room, a lip balm. That is a protocol. A second acid “in case” is how a time zone becomes a flare.

On the plane, the useful moves are unglamorous. Drink water. Do not start a peel because you are bored. If you cleanse, moisturize afterward so the dry air is not working on a stripped face. A wrap or a sweater will not fix your barrier, but being less cold helps you sleep, and sleep is the treatment people try to replace with oil. When you land, walk before you renegotiate your products. The same order, in the new bathroom, matters more than a local souvenir serum.

A facial is more useful before you leave than as damage control on the first morning. You want to depart with a calm barrier, not to land and exfoliate a dehydrated one. Consistency is the whole trick. The suitcase should be lighter than the habit.
