What Makes a Beauty Gift Worth Giving
A good gift fills a job the person already has. A surprise active is not a kindness.

Beauty gifts fail when they are chosen for the giver’s taste. A strong acid, a fragrance-heavy cream, or a device with a manual can sit unopened, or worse, irritate a barrier that was doing fine. The useful gift is the one that matches a job you know they repeat: taking makeup off, sealing dry skin, protecting hands, or booking time with someone who will look at their face before naming a treatment.
High-use objects beat novelty. A balm cleanser, a plain cream, sunscreen they will actually wear, or a facial they can schedule when they choose. If you do not know their routine, do not guess the active. Give the appointment, or give the bland staple. Pretty packaging does not change the chemistry.
Ask one question before you buy. Will this be used four times a week, or admired once? Frequency is the whole test. A gift that retires nothing and starts a new experiment is clutter with a ribbon.
